I’m a member of many forums these days, so I can keep my pulse of what is going on in the industry. Sometimes it’s good things and sometimes it’s not. This one lies in the category of not. I ran across a article about another Brokerage that just hired “ 5 new sales assassins.”Their words, not mine. I guess they even made a nice little video about it.

Last time I checked assassins weren’t into the “I’m looking out for my clients best interests’ category. Matter of fact they are hired to carry out the dirty work that no one else wants to do. 

Let’s take a look into what assassins do…

Not to long ago an elderly lady in Colorado recently found out what it was like to be attacked by assassins. She had a house that was for sale for some time but did not get sold. She decided not to list it again with the realtor. Which ends the listing and it comes off the market.

What you might not know it that it also posts to other sites as a expired listing. This list goes out to countless amounts of data farming companies. They in turn sell this list to realtors. Most the time it includes the people’s phone numbers as well.

As soon as this poor elderly cancelled the listing, the great race was on. The assassins alarms go off, and they began to blow up her phone. She said.“they started calling at 7:00 in the morning, and it didn’t stop. I received over 60 phone calls, and I didn’t know what to do.” 

That’s just the first step in the door. If they are lucky enough to talk to you they then begin to talk about how they have all these buyers in the area looking for a home just like yours. (which is total, BS). 

This is the old bait and switch tactic… If they had buyers then, why wouldn’t they bring them before? After all if we brought them a buyer to buy their house then, we would get paid. But that’s just one of sneaky tactics of an “assassin” — not my words, the words of the “Mega Agent” who bragged about hiring assassins.

These are just a few of the tactics they use to get their crowbar into you door. Once they have an edge in, they are poised to answer any objections that you have. Normally these objections are sitting right in front of them on a sheet so they can use them against you.

At this point it’s all about them and seeing if they can cram something down your throat. It’s about getting another mark to put on their back like the assassin in the picture above from the show “Into The Badlands.”It’s not about YOU or how they can serve you.
