Watch Out For These Outbreaks

Some amazing things have come from advancements in technology. We are able to do things better, faster and longer. These things have given us a longer life and on the surface made things better.

But at what cost?

Our demand for a faster-paced world has lead businesses to start taking short cuts. Producing food and products at a mass level.

This has lead to outbreaks and contamination. As is the case with a recent outbreak of Cyclosporiasis in 15 states at McDonalds.

What’s even crazier is that you don’t know you even have the symptoms until weeks after eating the food.

Another big food company that is in the news again is Chipotle. You may remember a few years ago an E Coli outbreak that they had.

Well, they are back in the new again. Yesterday 368 people got sick after eating at a Chipotle in Ohio.

These outbreaks beg you to ask the question. At what point does making more money and streamlining a process make things better for people?

And if so. At what cost?

This is a dual-edged sword. On one hand, businesses want to make a profit. On the other hand, people want products to be supercheap and affordable.

The old adage “you get what you pay for” really applies here.

I’ve mentioned this before that real estate is heading this same way. Companies are looking to streamline the process.

They look at people just like McDonald’s cattle. People being lead to the slaughter.

Their goal. Nothing but pure numbers. Through the masses, they will make their money. Treating people like a number and just another outbreak.

Will the people take lessons from past experiences like Chipotle and McDonald’s? Only time will tell.

One thing I do know. When you build a foundation on solid rock and not shifting sand. You can withstand any storm.

Shiny objects always fade away.

That’s why we stand on the Value Driven Way.

Unshackle Your Chains, my friends.
