And Then They Were Gone

And Then They Were Gone

Have you ever worked on something and had it disappear? When something like that happens, all hell breaks loose.

flood of emotions hit your mind as you try to figure out if there is a backup plan for all the lost work.

That’s what happened to me not long ago with my computer. I wrote about it the other day here on Facebook.

We walk through life in this fast-paced world. Advancements happen, and we forget to slow down and take inventory of things. New technology comes out, we start to use it and then we take it for granted.

Life can be this way for us as well. Friends can come and go in a flicker of time.

I was reminded of this when I called my accountant the other day. His admin person told me a tragedy had happened in the family. He had lost his son.

The chance to make more memories of him is gone. Which leaves any person asking themselves “Did I invest wisely the time we had together?”

This is something I think about all the time with my family and partners. I was reminded of this yesterday.

reminder popped up about a 1-year anniversary that was coming up with a partner Pam Seng.

sent her a video text. She sent me a text back.

Reading it brought back memories of our time together. She is a great lady, and I miss her.

Then I got a call from a partner Richard Aguilar. A good friend of mine. He wanted to see how I was doing? He is a great guy. I miss seeing him as well.

My point is that nothing is guaranteed in this world. We only have so much time together. It’s not something we can take for granted. It’s not guaranteed.

Take the time to slow down. Put down the devices and take in the amazing things around you.

That’s what I’d like to do. Summer is winding down here, and things are cooling off.

It’s been a while since I have seen some of you. I miss you. I don’t have family here. My partners/friends are my family.

So I’d like to invite you to a BBQ sometime soon.

If you could reply to this email and let me know if you would like to attend that would be great.

I will set a date sometime soon and let you know.

hope your weekend is filled with joy.
