Don’t Drink The Water

Boy, we have had lot of rain lately. I’m actually enjoying it. But for some water isn’t always the best thing.

Water is a crazy thing. It can destroy and wreak havoc on everything. Washing things downstream to corroding away something over long periods of time.

I won’t even bring up the damage it does when your hot water heater breaks.

Water has a lot of advantages, though.

I had the opportunity Friday to enjoy a sunny day with my kids before the weekend rain moved in. We went to one of our favorite places Savers. I look for great books and my kids EmmalynColeston, Harrison, and Grayson look for great toy deals.

Afterword I took them to Quick Trip for an ice cream cone. We picked a nice place to sit in the shade back by the dumpster.

As we ate our ice cream, my son Coleston looked over and noticed a young man sleeping behind the dumpster.

Now my kids understand what a homeless person is but they still don’t quite understand why they are. They haven’t experienced that hardship of this world.

But what they do know is that these people are hurting. They know that something is wrong.

Then my daughter said, “we have living water in the car. (which is water with a scripture message on it) “Should we go get some?” I asked

Yes,” she said.

We finished our ice cream and we then woke the young man up and gave him some living water.

A lot of people look at real-estate agents as water sometimes. A necessary evil. Can’t live with them and can’t live without them.

Yes like water many realtors destroy lot of things for people. At the same time, it leaves the door open for people like myself.

Creating the space for something to come along that is new and full of life.

I received a text from one of the first clients that I have stayed in contact with the other day. They had a basic question about some title work on their house.

I must admit I enjoy it when my partners reach out to me. It’s one of the biggest things I strive for with the Value-Driven Approach to doing things.

But more than that it shows me that I’m more than some person that helped satisfy a search for their home.

I’m living water and not something that could wash their dream away.

My goal is for every client to always feel that way.

Enjoy your week. ;)
