Following Bread Crumbs

I wrote about my top books that impacted my life on Facebook yesterday. If you like you can check it out here.

Books have changed my life in a profound way. If you’ve been reading my emails for a while, you already know that when I was younger I was doing drugs.

I was lost. I had a pain inside that was like an infected splinter. Throbbing and aching. I would try to get it out but the tools I had weren’t enough.

I needed a better tool to help me out.

That’s when I started reading books. The more I read the better my situations got.

To the point where now they are a part of my life. Which lead me to read a book the other day by Christopher Lochhead & Heather Clancy called Niche Down.

It’s an easy read and has larger lettering. Which I like.

But it had some cool stories in it about how everyday people are changing their lives. Simply by finding gaps in what you would call “traditional business.”

Technology has leveled the playing field. So much that the average person can compete with the big boys.

Take for instance pizza. A super competitive business. Right?

Yes if you look at the old business model. But these entrepreneurs saw the gap in the model.

They created a mobile pizza truck that makes the pizza in the truck. Allowing it to be hot and fresh right at your front door. You order on the app, and robots make the pizza to order.

Amazing right?

Crossfit which everybody knows these days came about the same way. Everybody was training in a box format. Machine isolated moves.

Which isn’t real life.

Movements in the body don’t happen like that. So the creator of CrossFit Greg Glassman designed a new workout. Movements that the body actually uses.

It’s changed the way people around the world workout now and has created a movement.

That’s what books have done for me. They have allowed me to see so many new colors to life.

Which lead to me recently looking for a better way to express my gratitude to my clients. Which I haven’t been very good at doing.

That leads me to a book that leads me to find Etsy. An online site that specializes in small business owners custom products.

Now I can find custom made items that really express my gratitude.

I read a book. It changed my life.

Books change people’s lives. They lead to other breadcrumbs.

Maybe you have a good book that changed yours? Send me an email. I’d love to read it.
