It’s My Pleasure
Good morning friends
Last week was a busy week and one that was filled with some good life lessons.
After talking about how you can turn life situations last week into a Treasures From A Wreck Of Unbelievable I found myself in a situation at a McDonalds that was quite unbelievable. (well then again maybe not)
Every week I meet up with my friend Jareb to go over a book we are reviewing called The Purpose Driven Church. (Which is a book about much more than what the title leads to.)
More on that some other day…
As you guessed we met at a McDonalds.
Which in not a place that I value at all.
They may have a value meal but that’s about all the value they have.
Dollars burgers = dollar drinks = dollar service = ordering only ice cream and they forget it
Right?
But you know I was willing to give it a try because my friend had suggested we meet there.
I took about 2 steps through the door before I knew I wanted to leave and go somewhere else. I had walked into zoo where the inmates were running the alyssum.
The local high school had just gotten out and the place was full of students.
One group in particular was out of control. Throwing food, exploding ketchup packs and much more.
It’s times like these that define who you are and what you are all about as a organization.
It was a perfect time for a REAL manager to step up and kick these kids out.
A chance to show their personal beliefs as a person, organization to and to show their true colors..
Whether or not to show if they believe that it is their personal duty to serve us the clients and customers to the fullest.
To provide a environment for people to not only get great service but be able to enjoy a place to eat.
But they blew it.
It’s one of the single biggest reasons why McDonalds continues to decline and keeps loosing market share every day.
Because they don’t know who they are and better yet they don’t have a culture that cares.
Now to contrast.
Go to a place like Chick-Fil-A
Walk into any one no matter what state you are in and you’ll get a level of service that most restaurants would beg for.
They don’t sell chicken they sell culture.
They hold daddy daughter date nights (which I went to a week ago)
They walk by and fill your drink without you even getting up.
They do a monthly family night for kids
They say “my pleasure” when you tell them thank you
They….
They…
They…
The place is over the top.
They’ve created a place where you want to spend your money and time there.
Why because they VALUE their customers.
They VALUE family.
They VALUE a work environment that cares about it’s people.
And I got to tell you folks they are crushing it.
In todays world you need to be more than just some burger joint selling off the value meal.
You need to be someone that cares.
Could you imagine walking into Warren Buffets office and seeing people acting like they are on the movie “Wolf Of Wall Street” (inmates in a alyssum) and still working with him?
No
That would be crazy and absurd.
People want to work with Warren Buffet because he is a rock and serves his people. His methods have stood the test of time and he is one of the richest people in the world because of it.
It’s the single biggest reason why I have learned a Warren Buffet Value Driven Approach to real estate with all my clients.
Never should at any time in the process of buying a home should you feel that you are in a inmate alyssum.
You should have clarity on the path of buying and selling your home and EXPECT a level of service that is next to none.
To expect something better than a “Value Menu”.
A place where you will always greeted with a device that says “My Pleasure”.
If you like what you read then please write back. Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
