Lost Worlds
It’s a great mystery of how mega ancient structures were built in the past. Lost in the sands of time the art was.
The school of thought for a long time was that these ancient civilizations like the Incas were primitive and not capable of building megacities.
But with a recent technology called lidar, the veil is being peeled back. With this new technology, they can now see under the jungle all the structures of the past.
That past reveals a mega civilization that housed about four million people. It’s amazing what they accomplished.
While we look to uncover lost arts of the past I can’t but help feel that we are losing our own right in front of our eyes.
Never before in human history have we possessed tools and technology as we have now. Things are easier than ever before.
We microwave food in seconds, we open our doors with our phone and we have liquor delivered to our front door.
These are great things don’t get me wrong but what is the real cost?
I recently started looking for other realtors to start working within my business a few weeks ago. A lot of them are brand new and the way they were handling business was quite shocking.
These agents didn’t know anything. Matter of fact some of the deals and the way they were writing for their clients could get them sued.
I couldn’t believe some of the things I was hearing from them.
They lacked even the simplest of skills to even help people the right way. They felt lost and I could see it on their face.
It didn’t take me long to realize why.
In today’s world, everybody talks about what you need to do to get a Ferrari or be the top dog. They have the latest and greatest tools for you.
They’ll make you successful, you’ll make tons of money. Just watch these videos and blah blah blah.
It’s so out of hand.
Everybody talks about being at the top and how to run a four-minute mile but nobody talks about the basics of how to tie your shoe.
Mr. Meagi and Danielson comes to mind. No wax on or off. Everybody wants to go straight to the tournament.
No matter how much technology comes out, the basics are the basics and you’ll never master anything without it.
A blind man has climbed Mt Everest, do you think he had a special tool?
Next time you go to do business with someone slow things down and take a minute and listen to what they are really saying.
Underneath all those shiny tools you’ll see what they really represent. You might just find a lost art from the past.
Then grab hold of it.
