Never Forget…

When I was a kidI always thought the war was glorious. I spent countless hours imagining I was fighting the enemy.

I had the classic green army man set with the yellow Japanese to fight on the other side.

It was all so simple as a kid. My mind never understood the price that people paid in war.

Now all grown up I have a newfound respect and appreciation for life. I see the value of those that have died that those that still live on.

But I’ll never be able to feel the bond that those that have served with others in war have felt.

That’s something that you only get when you serve someone side by side. Building a bond through an experience that few have had.

One that some never come back from.

It’s through that bond that friendships of brotherhood or sisterhoods are born.

For most of us, we remember these people once a year. For those that served it can be almost an everyday thing.

These people are the ones that volunteer and help out at your local veterans shelters, meetings or events.

They make sure that our soldiers are never forgotten. After all without them would some of us still exist?

My relationship with you my partners is lot like this. No, we are not in a physical war, and we don’t face the same trauma.

I do however depend on building a partnership with a bond. You see 95% of all realtors go out of business in the first three years.

It’s not all fantasyland like when I was a kid of nice cars, $40,000 commissions and a dream life everybody adores.

It’s flat out brutal. It’s through that brutality that I build a bond and partnership with you, my partners.

One that for some never forget just like these soldiers.

It’s because of that in times of great need for me you have remembered and kept me alive by referring your friends and family.

That’ just happened here recently. I’d like to say that Im some superstar realtor that makes millions a year but thats not the fact of life.

Because you have remembered me, I’ve been able to feed my family and pay my bills.

I will always be grateful for that and thank you.

I also wanted to say thanks to those that serve, have served and will serve. Without you, none of these things in this country would be possible.

You will always be remembered.

Have a great week.
