Push vs Pull
While working out at home this year I learned a valuable lesson with my family.
I learned several things actually. Read about it here on Facebook.
One of the takeaways I had was it’s better to pull than push.
We all have our own ways of doing things. But if you want people to truly understand how you do things, you need to lead by example.
That’s what I did with my workouts. I started doing them in front of my kids. I wanted to show them what commitment was all about.
Which I can’t do from an office. Do you know what happened? My oldest son Coleston started to work out with me.
I didn’t have to bug him. Tell him how great it is for you or say you need to be in shape. I simply pulled him in with what I’d done.
If you take the time to think about things, you will realize this is the way you have been attracted to things that you once never did or had before.
You want to be a part of something that is like yourself. Without being pushed into it or sold.
I had confirmation of this most recently from one of my new partners Hank that just bought a home. He owns a doughnut shop and said an agent came every week to buy doughnuts always asking “Are you going to use me?
By the tone of Hanks wife Sopeak I could tell she was annoyed with being pushed rather than pulled.
Netflix is raising its monthly fees by $2, and people will pay it.
Why? Because they have built shows like House of Cards and The Man In The High Castle that pull. People want to be a part of them.
Amazon did the same thing with their platform.
We strive to attract people the same way with the Value Driven Approach. It’s always our goal to give you not only what you want but a superior approach that delivers superior results.
As for pushing? Well, that’s not our approach.
