Scattered life…

Looking back it was easy working in the motorcycle dealerships. Everything was done for me.

The owners paid for the building. They provided a product for me to sell. They even advertised to bring people in.

All I had to do was focus on selling motorcycles.

simple task compared to what I face now.

Now I open the doors, put out fires, take care of business and try to push things forward.

If you own a business or have gotten bitten by the entrepreneur bug before you know what I’m talking about. Life is like this as well.

This is known as working “On Your Business” instead of “In Your Business.

Most entrepreneurs work on their business for the first 1-5 years. That is if they are able to stay in business.

Some get stuck working in it for a lifetime like running on a hamster wheel.

I face this problem almost daily!

When I’m lost in real estate I try to regroup on things. Here are 3 tips that have helped me that I thought might be able to help you focus on your life/job. :)

1. Learn For Two- Take what you’ve learned and teach it to someone else. You’ll learn faster and become more confident.

I’m learning online marketing right now. It’s tough. But I take what I’ve learned and show another friend the same thing.

2. 20% = 80% Of Results- Perry Marshall writes about this. Twenty percent of what we do gets up eighty percent of our results.

If you’re feeling stuck this is a good place to look. I have found lot of my solutions always lie here.

3. Write Out Your Plan- Put everything you need to do on a whiteboard. Then prioritize it and break it down.

For example, you can put things in buckets or lists. List A, B, C with importance to order.

What I don’t accomplish I revisit at the end of the night and map things out for the next day.

Doing these things is always has huge returns. But I’ll be the first to admit it’s hard to always stick by them.

Life gets in the way, and we get easily distracted. When I come back to these though things always come back into place.

Things are always better when you have a focus.

Have a great day.
