The Judge

One of the hardest things not to do in life is to judge things. That applies in all areas of life.

Our mind pulls from our memory banks and instantly gives us some reading or thought from our past experience.

Depending on what that is the result can be a good outcome or one that is skewed.

Take for instance new business ideas. lot of times they sound great and we want to rush out and implement them without any thought to it.

I’m super guilty of this. I’ve done it a million times only for it to come crashing down.

That’s usually because I didn’t do my due diligence. Like Rick Warren did in one of the best business books, I’ve ever read, The Purpose Driven Church.

The above picture is a page from that book of when he was first looking for the place he would start a church.

He followed the advice of scripture from Proverbs 13:16 that says “Every prudent man acts out of knowledge. To him, that meant “I should find out all I could about an area before I committed to investing the rest of my life there. Before making any major decision it is important to ask, “What do I need to know first?”

Proverbs 18:13 says, “What a shame  yes, how stupid!  to decide before knowing that facts!

BOOM!

I wish I listened to this more in my own life. It would save me a lot a headache and sorrow.

To many times I have made decisions without doing all the research. Or relying on someone else to give me the facts.

This is particularly easy with the news. If that’s what you call it these days.
This many times leads to a skewed view because I didn’t take the time to check everything out.

I learned, though, and it’s also taught me how to be aware. Especially in real estate with my partners.

Something I never want my clients to feel is a lack of information or a feeling of not being in the loop.

This is something that I’m always looking for better ways to do.

Its my job to ensure that my clients have all the facts when it comes to buying or selling a home, not just a few.

Whether that’s pointing out its a higher price point than what they wanted or the direction the house faces.

Then after they have all the evidence or factsthey can judge if its the right move.

I’ve found out that when you do things this way in life in almost always works out to be the right move.

Have a great day.
