The Other Side Of The Tracks

The Other Side Of The Tracks

I’m sure you’ve heard that saying before. It’s a saying typically indicating that you’re from a part of town that’s not so good.

It’s a term that puts someone or something in a category. Framing them into thinking they are something that someone else tells them they are.

I thought about this as I watched my son Grayson play the other day. Pulling out his train set he began to lay the tracks. Putting each one in front of the other. The living room floor was open and he could expand the tracks as far as he wanted to go.

He did it without hesitation. His imagination running wild with where the train would go.

He had total control of where he wanted to put the tracks. Laying out his own path.

That’s the great thing about kids. They don’t have barriers telling them things can’t be done.

Jeff Bezos from Amazon is like that.

That little bookstore that has taken over America. What once started out as a simple online business. Is an online machine that has changed the way people buy products. Sending shivers down businesses that are box stores.

Jeff has taken to laying down his own tracks to a whole new level. Never allowing the idea of staying inside a box to cramp his style.

What he has done is quite amazing to say the least. But it’s a prime example of what can be done when you’re willing to chart your own course and lay your own tracks.

One thing for sure that happens when you lay your own tracks is that opportunities will come your way. A lot of those are opportunities to help yourself or the business you are in.

Such has been the case with laying my own tracks with the documented approach to sell real estate. Which has netted profits of $8000 up to $40,000 for partners on their homes over the last year.

Which is great. But I’ve also get asked from time to time if I know any investors or have investor properties. It’s something at this time I don’t do.

But like I said sometimes an opportunity presents itself when you lay your own tracks. I’m a part of a group of people that I’ve mentioned before that implement the Documented Approach To Sell Real Estate.

I know of a guy Ron that is building a course on Micro Flipping. Now it’s something I haven’t done but I know that Ron has had a big success with it over the years. I’m not sure when it’s coming out but I figured I’d mention it.

If you’re interested just let me know and I’ll email you when it comes out.

It’s always been my goal to overdeliver for our partners. But this is something that would of never have come to me if I’d let the normal label of “Realtor” lay my tracks for me.

Sometimes we have to go back in time and remember what it was like to be a kid. Free of stress or constraints.

It’s here we can’t find the best ideas and secrets. Ones we can build our own tracks with.

Have a great weekend.
