Want vs Drive

Good morning.

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

2019 is almost here, and a lot of people will be setting goals again. As I read through my notes taken from past years at the church, I came across this note “When I have no drive to discover the truth I have no reason to challenge error.”

This made me think of my riddled past and how I have handled it.

Many times in my past I said I wanted something.

Feeling worn out from doing drugs all night my body would tell myself “I want out.

Sitting down with my hands on my head depressed I’d tell myself “I want out.

Stressed because the mismanagement of my money I’d say “I want out.

Anger always bubbling up inside I’d say “I want out.

I had a whole lot of want. But that’s all want is. It’s a pipe dream. Want without drive does nothing.

It’s like simple math. 1+1=2 You can’t get to the number two without adding one to it. No matter how bad you want to get to two.

That’s why nothing ever happened for a period of time in my life when I had problems. When I added drive everything changed.

Drive = challenging error = truth

When you start telling the truth you will be set free. Which was what happened to me.

The real estate industry has a whole lot of want wishes in it.

Realtors say they want to serve people better. They want to represent their clients best interests. They want to say it’s not about the money.

But their actions speak louder than their words. Like ads about “I’ll buy your house if yours doesn’t sell. An advertising scheme to get you to call.

Or “I have a list of buyers. Ya, everybody has those. It’s called the internet.

How about “We sell faster than anybody.” Which doesn’t indicate that they actually sold it for more. Which isn’t in your best interest.

A whole lot of want. Want = not challenging error.

Not challenging error = false truths

Recently I have been talking with a group of members about how we can take the Documented Approach To Sell Real Estate to the next level.

Challenge want = truth to a better result.

Meaning how can we maximize our client‘s profits even more? We are taking the time to systematize and break things down to a science. Kinda like McDonald’s.

In doing so each client will maximize their potential for superior results beyond what we’ve been able to do before.

This is the difference between wanting to help partners and being driven to discover truths.

There are those that want and then there are those that have drive.

2019 is going to be a great year.
