Treasures From The Wreck Of Unbelievable

Good morning,

Just a quick update for you since my last email.  Grayson has continued to live up to his pride of ownership of “I farted” and we have sense bought some air fresheners. 🙂

Now back to business.  If you don’t already know from my past emails I watch a lot of documentaries on Netflix.  The picture above is one of the pictures from the show called Treasures From The Wreck Of Unbelievable.

Ever since I was a kid I have always been fascinated with treasure and anything that comes along with it. (That goes for my boys as well).  I don’t know if it’s so much the treasure I like or the story that comes with it.

Hence the reason I was drawn to this documentary.

As I watched the story gripped me from the get go.  It starts out with a guy seeing a Youtube video of some fisherman that had a artifact that was caught in their net.    It looks to be a  significant find from a long time ago.

So going on a hunch he decides to do some poking around in the area where the fisherman caught it in their net.  After about 4 days of diving and almost giving up they find a statue frozen in time under water.

This sparks an all out effort by a treasure crew to start a expedition and dive the site.  Bit by bit they start to discover amazing pieces of art that captivate the eye.  It becomes clear very quickly that this was not a normal ship of cargo. It was a shipped filled with masterpieces of art.

The pieces were so crazy I had to include some pictures below.

But this documentary really made me think about a lot of things.

It almost seems impossible that someone could find a treasure like this with just a crumb of a clue that lead him to something far beyond anyone’s expectations.

I mean come on.  That never happens to real people in life. Right?

This guy just had to get lucky.  Right?

Or maybe it wasn’t luck at all.  Maybe it was this guy was just able to see things from a different perspective than thousands of others and often times myself had not seen?

Maybe he just looked at events that presented themselves in his life differently and learned to act upon them.  To see them for what they are.  A opportunity to take a journey that could lead to a Treasure From A Wreck Of Unbelievable.

How many times have we had a opportunity stare us in the face only to let it go by?  I know I have not always taken every shot I could but I do know of one that I did that forever changed my life.

At the age of 27 I was a young man that was lost and looking for answers.  I had spent most of high school and my early twenties in a drug induced party life where I bought and sold drugs.

Leading to a life of caos.  (more on that some other day)

Although I was successful at my job and everything looked good on the surface.  Underneath I  was desperately looking for a way out.  My world was dark and a mess.

But that was about to change…

Yes I was a mess but I always knew that the life I was living was not what I wanted.

I began to listen and subscribing to successful peoples emails that were living the life that I wanted to live.

Then one day I was sitting in my office at the motorcycle dealership I worked at I saw a email about a contest of a success event.  The email said you could win a trip to the event.

I remember saying “I can win this” and I entered it.

Not thinking about it again until one day at work I checked my email and I had won a free admission to the event.

I was completely broke at the time but I saw this as a sign to change my life.  I knew for some reason I was meant to go there.

So I took action.

What transpired over the next few days forever changed my life.  At that event I was able to spend one on one time with the host of the event John Di Lemme.

He invited me to go to church that weekend and my life has never been the same since.

I have become a person that at one point in my life I thought I would never become.

A person with convictions, who cares, who tries to give back, who sees light in a world of darkness, a family man, a person with integrity or simply a person who tries to make a difference.

I’m sure a lot of people look at where I was in life and where I am at now and ask questions like I did of this show.

But you know I believe that life is always looking for ways to give you a lift up.  It’s just a matter if you are going to look at them the right way, act and do the work that’s required to take a ride with it.

A few months back I had the pleasure of seeing a client of mine Shanton Harris take one of those rides.  It was a experience that lead to a Treasure From A Wreck Of Unbelievable.

You see she had a dream of getting a home and bettering her life.  She had never owned a home before.  People had always told her she could not do it and tried to keep her down.

But like I said life has a way of bringing you clues.

That’s when she ran across my good friend who is a loan officer Liz Korn and tried to get approved for a loan.

She couldn’t get one at the time but Liz gave her a path to follow to fix her credit.  It would take 8 months but if she did so she would be able to get a home.

Like the fellow in the shipwreck Shanton took action and followed the path.

8 months later she bought a house and moved into her Treasure From The Wreck Of Unbelievable.

Sometimes life just comes down to how you look at things and whether or not you are going to take action on them or not.

My friends it all starts with the first step.

Step up, recognize opportunities for what they are, unshackle your chains and journey into a life that has a Treasure from The Wreck Of Unbelievable.

I hope this helped and gave you have the insight to see it for what resistance is and the ability to unshackle another chain.

If you like what you read then please write back.  Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
